The Industrial Innovation Initiative (I3) released the following statement today on the 2024 election. The statement may be attributed to David Soll, Industrial Decarbonization Manager, Great Plains Institute.
“Since 2020, the Industrial Innovation Initiative and its diverse membership has demonstrated an unwavering commitment – no matter the balance of power in Washington – to our mission to build federal policy support to accelerate industrial emissions reductions and strengthen American industry.
“The results of the 2024 election underscore the need for durable, bipartisan solutions to our climate and economic challenges. Federal support for industrial transformation helps American manufacturers compete with foreign competitors and deploy cutting-edge technologies. It also makes our communities healthier places to live, provides well-paying jobs, and reduces emissions.
“Strong bipartisan support for carbon management, hydrogen, and electrification has played a crucial role in advancing these technologies. We must continue to work to expand the deployment of these technologies while safeguarding our nation’s economic interests.
“Looking forward, we will continue to work with members of Congress across the political spectrum and President-elect Donald Trump’s administration to pursue bipartisan solutions to bolster American industry’s efforts to reduce emissions and enhance competitiveness.”
